Pics are Up

Captioned pics from my trip are up here.

I’ll post a few stories once I get the time. As it is, it’s 4:20am, and even my friends on the west coast went to sleep long ago. Time for bed.

In the meantime, Mike posted a long entry containing the fragments he remembers of the night.

So tired…

I’m back in Wisconsin after an exhausting thirteen hour trip. The return trip consisted of Seattle > Detroit > Memphis > Milwaukee by plane, then Milwaukee to Madison by car. I managed to get less than an hour of constantly interrupted, neck-crampingly uncomfortable sleep on the flight between Detroit and Memphis.

I’m barely qualified to string sentence fragments together to hammer out this post. Hopefully, I’ll be lucid enough to post Saturday night’s bacchanalian exploits in the near future. Until then, here’s preview of what’s to come:

  • Mistakenly stumbling into a gay bar!
  • Transvestites!
  • Physical violence!
  • Brief nudity!

:: Cue soap opera organ music sting ::

And now, off to work!

Seattle, Day 2

I got into Seattle around noon, local time, and spent most of the day wondering how I got here, and what the fuck I had been thinking to get here at all. Mike and Pedro had to work, and I had no transportation, so I spent a lot of the time on Mike’s couch playing video games and watching Star Trek Voyager reruns on Windows Media Center.

Pedro got into town around 8:00, and we went to a Mexican restaurant up the street, then came back to play some Wii and do some drinking. By the time Mike got back from taking out his ex for sushi, I was down for the count. Between only a few hours of sleep over a two day period and a couple drinks, I couldn’t keep my eyes open.

They woke me up around 4:00am, Mike talking loudly about his father’s post-tax earnings and finishing off the bottle of Jameson.

And thanks to Mike’s mom for the most disturbing birthday voicemail I’ve ever heard.
