A while ago, Christine asked me if I wanted to take part in the Focal Plane Challenge. The rules are simple, CTRL+V CTRL+C:

  1. The contest begins March 1st.
  2. Don’t just snap a picture. That’s too easy. Select a subject. Compose the shot. Think about the meaning. Try to be a photographer.
  3. One image per day. You can take more than that if you like, but the idea is that it’s a picture a day. No more, no less.
  4. No missing days. Take a picture EVERY DAY. Even if it sucks, it’s just a photoblog.
  5. Keep your images private until April 1st. Then post them. I’ll have mine up on Flickr, and I’ll x-post them here.
  6. Enjoy it! This is supposed to be a fun challenge!

I’m not doing #5. All my photos are going up to my gallery as I take them. I’ve already posted my less-than-stellar shots of the ice on the vines on our back porch here.

The rest of the pics will be here.

In other news, I dropped Megan off at the airport this morning. She’s on her way to Idaho to visit her family, whom she hasn’t seen since October. Which means I have the next six days to live like a filthy hobo. More than usual, anyway.
