I got into Seattle around noon, local time, and spent most of the day wondering how I got here, and what the fuck I had been thinking to get here at all. Mike and Pedro had to work, and I had no transportation, so I spent a lot of the time on Mike’s couch playing video games and watching Star Trek Voyager reruns on Windows Media Center.
Pedro got into town around 8:00, and we went to a Mexican restaurant up the street, then came back to play some Wii and do some drinking. By the time Mike got back from taking out his ex for sushi, I was down for the count. Between only a few hours of sleep over a two day period and a couple drinks, I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
They woke me up around 4:00am, Mike talking loudly about his father’s post-tax earnings and finishing off the bottle of Jameson.
And thanks to Mike’s mom for the most disturbing birthday voicemail I’ve ever heard.

DUDE. What the hell. Why can’t I go to Seattle and drink? Why do I have to stay in Milwaukee with the snow? You always have good adventures.

Thanks! It’s been far too long since I had a really good adventure.
Your single comment has given me validation for the next six months.
Be fair to yourself, though… you were the girl who went to the airport with me to try to board the first cheap flight to anywhere interesting.
There’s plenty of adventure in you. You just need some help and some confidence to bring them to your full, possibly insane, conclusion. :)
